- When I mentioned the Sony Walkman, this is the thing I was talking about.
- At one point I talked about my fear of heights and how it prevents me from doing much with my Oculus virtual reality headset.
- If you were wondering what I was talking about when I mentioned compound interest, you can find more information here.
- The song “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’” from the musical “Oklahoma!”.
- I ranted about how Minecraft has incorrectly implemented wheat. Here are all the details about real life wheat. I also talked about corn, potatoes, cucumbers, grapes, and onions.
- I also talked about acorns, oak trees, tannins, and the tanning of leather.
- At one point I talked about getting nostalgic about Minecraft and MMOs every holiday season. This explains MMOs.
- Shortly after that, I talked a bit about my excitement (which has long cooled) over the concepts that were originally set for the Hytale game.
- I also mentioned the old Adventure Construction Set released by Electronic Arts.
- Microsoft still offers a number of development tools, some of which are still actually free.
- And then there is the bit where I ask about the Dodgers.
- Eric and I used to sometimes stop at the Safeway grocery store to play the stand up video games they had there and we would wander in the Long’s Drugstore next door to con the staff there once we ran out of quarters.
- When I was waxing nostalgic about old video games, I mentioned Moon Cresta, Battlezone, and the Atari 2600 Video Console.
- Eric and I would also scam the guys at the Texas Instruments store… back when such things existed.
- I also talked about old microcomputer stuff including the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A, Commodore 64, Apple II, Commodore Plus/4, and the Commodore 128. I also talked about my old tape drive for my Plus/4.
- When I talked about my flooding the backyard, I mentioned that it was like something out of Calvin and Hobbes.
- I was cracking up after I said, “just the flax, ma’am”. It is a reference to an old catchphrase from this show.
- There was a whole section where I talked about dugouts, turf roofs, sod houses, and adobe.

Ever since I watched The Sting as a child, I have loved Ragtime music. However, I am not a musician, composer, or even a particularly knowledgeable fan of music. I enjoy what I enjoy and that includes many different genres of music. However, Ragtime is the soundtrack for the era I am simulating and this may the first time that modern listeners may be exposed to it. So I am including some general Ragtime links and whatever information I can find on the particular tracks I used in this episode.
