- If you are not familiar with the American sport of Baseball in general, or the term “batting 1000” in particular, you might want to check this out.
- While in the cultists’ house, I said something about Looney Tunes and being “veddy veddy qwiet”. This explains the Looney Tunes… and this explains the quote. At the same time, I also mentioned Space Jam.
- If “home again, home again… jiggety jig”, sounds familiar… this is probably why.
- At one point, I talked about what a mess cities were when they first adopted electricity and telephones. The picture at the top of this Britannica article is exactly what I was referring to.
- When talking about my love for things from the early 20th century… I mentioned a couple of movies that were set in that era. One was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the other was the Great Race. Just a note that the movie of the Great Race was loosely inspired by the actual race from New York to Paris in 1908.
- I also lamented the rise of modern minimalism in an implied contrast to the designs of the Victorian Era and early 20th century.
- When I talked about making a medieval/fantasy modpack, I also mentioned that the starring mod in that pack is Ars Nouveau.
- In building the fantasy modpack, I listed some mods that add villages that are not full of traditional villagers, including Kobolds!, Ribbits, Goblins Community!, and Burrowers.
- I reminisced about Drive-In Theaters.
- I mentioned a bunch of movies from back in the day, including Soylent Green, the original Planet of the Apes franchise, Westworld and Logan’s Run.
- I also mentioned similar but more recent movies including the Mad Max franchise, the new Plant of the Apes franchise, Waterworld and the Postman. I also mentioned the Fallout series on Amazon Prime.
- Later on, I briefly mentioned how the Harry Potter series changed fantasy.
- The shape of the foundation of the homestead resembles a capital letter H, and when I mentioned it, I also mentioned Sesame Street and the Electric Company.
- The very first video game system I ever owned was the Atari 2600 that I mentioned.
- When talking about my own basement, I referred to it as my Fortress of Solitude.
- When battling the creeper, I referred to it as a Cabbage Patch Kid from Hades. This article is about the original Cabbage Patch Kids.
- The Finest Worksong… from the band R.E.M.
- Of course, my Lumberjack song was stolen from Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
- When talking about virtual gardening, I referred to some video game Franchises including Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, and Stardew Valley.
- Here is the Patreon page that I opened and mentioned.

Ever since I watched The Sting as a child, I have loved Ragtime music. However, I am not a musician, composer, or even a particularly knowledgeable fan of music. I enjoy what I enjoy and that includes many different genres of music. However, Ragtime is the soundtrack for the era I am simulating and this may the first time that modern listeners may be exposed to it. So I am including some general Ragtime links and whatever information I can find on the particular tracks I used in this episode.
