More Information
  • Just in case you have no idea what the Let’s Play video format is, I have included a link to an explanation here
  • I mentioned tighty whities.
  • The actual Journey to the Center of the World (Earth).
  • I mentioned a magic sword that was a combination of a Holy Avenger from D&D and a Vorpal sword from the poem, the Jabberwocky.
  • Seattle is almost as famous for their potholes as they are for their weather.
  • More information on proper atriums in the real world.
  • In case you need a primer on Dad Humor.
  • I mentioned that my future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.
  • I have digitized my library except for my books concerning Middle Earth and RPGs.
  • When I accused the false priests of selling snake oil… this is what I was referring to.
  • Some of you may be too young to remember the Keebler Elves
  • I mentioned that Something is Rotten in the State of Denmark.
  • Mayberry was an idyllic little town from a few television series back when TV shows were black and white.
  • Twin Peaks is somewhat less idyllic.
  • The context for the quote from Sir Robin from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
  • Now I know what a FA-MAS Type 62 is.
  • I lived in the Jackson Hole area for a couple of years.  I would still live there… if I can figure out a way to live and retire on pine cones.
  • The original Railroad Tycoon is what got me hooked on building computer games… and eventually sandbox games.
  • At one time, my absolute favorite computer game genre was 4X.
  • Back in the day… mostly before I was married… I spent countless hours playing MMOs with my friends.
  • In case you were wondering what batting zero means.
  • Many people suffer from hayfever.  If you are one of the lucky ones that don’t then it might worth explaining what it is.
  • “Almost There” still cracks me up whenever I hear someone say it.  In Star Wars – Episode 4, Garven Dreis was the first X-Wing pilot to take a shot at the Death Star’s exhaust port and it seems that he was on approach for hours… or at least it felt that way.  In fact, somebody put together a funny video that really drives the point home.
  • I mentioned George Carlin’s bit about a place for his stuff.  I would reference it more… but his routine is not suitable for work… or school.
  • Putting the Cart Before the Horse may require some explanation for some of you nowadays.
Music

Ever since I watched The Sting as a child, I have loved Ragtime music. However, I am not a musician, composer, or even a particularly knowledgeable fan of music. I enjoy what I enjoy and that includes many different genres of music. However, Ragtime is the soundtrack for the era I am simulating and this may the first time that modern listeners may be exposed to it. So I am including some general Ragtime links and whatever information I can find on the particular tracks I used in this episode.
