More Information
  • While trying to get the Walking Water Balloon to move, I used an English idiom that I “beat the snot out of him.”
  • When I was referring to the Christmas lights scene in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, this is what I was talking about.
  • At one point I mentioned the little hidden valley behind the old base and then salad dressing.  Here is the connection.
  • While talking about drones and remote control stuff, I mentioned rockets from Estes.
  • I mentioned Fotomats… and they might require some explanation nowadays.
  • While trying to set a reference for time frame, I mentioned the Stranger Things series.
  • Also, I mentioned an amateur rocket launch from way back… and the associated video.  I was not able to find that video.  I found some that are kinda sorta similar, but none of them were quite as good as the one I saw back in the day.   Here are some of the videos I found.
  • Later on, I used the idiom, “Cooking with gas.”
  • While talking about pets, I talked about our aquarium fish.  We have mostly guppies.
  • I saw the iron mines in the near horizon and it reminded me of old photos of Long Beach and its oil wells back in the day.  You can see some of them here.
  • If you did not get the “Some Shall Pass” reference… it is a play on this.
