More Information
  • “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood” was a catchphrase of the late Fred Rogers on his show Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.
  • I commented that the area I am building in reminds me of the Black Forest in Germany.
  • This video was released late due to the power outage that resulted from the Bomb Cyclone that hit my region.
  • Puget Sound Energy is the power company that supplies electricity and gas to the folks in my area.  The city of Seattle has its own company.
  • “No more Mr. Nice Guy” is an American idiom that first appeared in the 1950’s.
  • I referred to the skeleton that killed me as a “pinhead” and then a “bonehead“.
  • While trying to recover my body, I was chased off by the skeleton a few times and in one of those I quoted Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
  • I used the idiom, “cooking with gas“.
  • I mentioned Sierra Interactive, but there never was such a thing.  What I really meant was Sierra On-line.
  • While wandering in the woods looking for caves, I found something that initially appeared to be a covered wagon.
  • Circumstances drove me to slaying innocent Tweety birds.
  • Dealing with the armor stand reminded me of a bit from Young Frankenstein.
  • When I saw one of the villagers wearing a kilt and spinning, it reminded of one of the dancing scenes from the play/movie Brigadoon.
  • My first spell is a breaking spell named Bigby’s Paxel.  Bigby was one of the original archmages in Dungeons and Dragons and paxels are multiuse tools common in many Minecraft mods.
  • My second spell was a projectile harm spell that I called Magic Missile after the classic first level spell in Dungeons and Dragons.
  • When I was talking about a spell looking like “photons”, I was actually talking about “photon torpedoes” from Star Trek.
  • As I surveyed the land, I talked a bit about castle design and structure and I mentioned keeps and baileys specifically.
  • While talking about the romantic return to castles in the 19th century, I mentioned Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany when I should have said Kind Ludwig II of Bavaria.
  • I talked a little about Chepstow Castle in Wales.
  • When talking about the use of castles and the early days of gunpowder, I talked briefly about the development of angled walls such as those used in star forts.
