- I talked for a bit about the game, Vintage Story. I had never heard of it until last week. In fact, I heard about it from Mischief of Mice. I find it very interesting.
- While talking about new games, I also mentioned Cubic Odyssey and spoke about my time playing No Man’s Sky.
- While talking about the restrictive base limits in No Man’s Sky, I referred to my complaints as Sour Grapes.
- After talking about those other games, I talked about vehicle mods in Minecraft… specifically, Immersive Aircraft, Man of Many Planes, and Immersive Machinery.
- While talking about the performance of my Gryphon Manor world when using multiple Create windmills, I referred to the resulting lag as a PowerPoint slide show.
- I mentioned that I wish my gaming rig was as powerful as the computers they had on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
- In a small Grandpa moment, I mentioned that I started my video game career playing Pong.
- I also talked about shortcuts that developers often take in game development to simulate stronger AI opponents. Specifically I talked about the original version of Civilization.
- Then I went off on a tangent talking about the latest entry to the franchise: Civilization VII… followed by 4X games and competitive games in general.
- While talking about the distinction between artistry and popularity, I mentioned the band Boston.
- When I got to the bit where I talked about corporate expectations, I mentioned my own run in with projected sales goals in retail while I worked at Software Etc. which eventually merged with Babbages which in turn eventually evolved into Gamestop.
